Scandal Cast Reunites for Online Script Reading to Support Hurricane Relief in North Carolina
ShareShareShareShareShare

The cast of the hit TV show *Scandal* will gather to do a live reading of the script for online purposes all in an effort to help raise money for those people affected by a hurricane which devastated western North Carolina; joining this live reading include Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, and Bellamy Young, and the collected money will be used to help rebuild the damaged area.

From this Friday, one can begin to make online donations that would grant him or her a seat to watch the reading. All the collected money goes to United Way of North Carolina. Contributors get a chance to participate in an online viewing event specifically for the contributors before the reading when creator Shonda Rhimes will introduce the cast of *Scandal*.

Another contest is running through the fundraising website Prizeo. There, one lucky donor gets to read a part of the script with the cast, which should be pretty fun. Bellamy Young assured fans that they could read at their own pace even though the show was known for its fast dialogue.

This is the first time they’ll read a script together since the show ended in 2018, though they won’t say which episode they will be reading.

She says it is “devastating” to see how badly her hometown has been hit. North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said the state needs $53 billion in repairs. Over 100,000 people still can’t safely drink their tap water.
